The 10,000 hour bulb life lasts 6-10 times longer than standard bulbs and yet uses two-thirds less energy than an equivalent 100-watt incandescent bulb. The bulb will not hum or flicker and is a safe and cool alternative to incandescent and halogen bulbs. The lamp insures you will see more comfortably for reading, working, and all close up tasks and hobbies and can be placed on any work surface such as a desk, table, or workbench. - I love lamp!
This lamp is really quite versatile. In perusing the various features of this lamp, I discovered what a wide range of functions this lamp possesses. These include:

1) Turn on.
2) Turn off.
3) Plug in.
4) Unplug.

This lamp is no more & no less than described.
Pros : I like the full-spectrum lighting. Nice & white & it makes every other lightbulb in the room look yellowish.
Cons: Replacement bulbs are $9.00. Only takes a few and you've doubled the cost of the lamp itself. Also I thought I was ordering a black one and it came in white. Not annoying enough to bother with returning it, but when I repeated the order as a test, I found nowhere does it ask you to choose a color.

I purchased this as a desk lamp, and am very happy with it after two months of use. It does not heat up like the halogen lamps. It runs cool and provides enough light in the room that I seldom have to turn on my overhead light. It takes two hands to adjust, but it also doesn't move once it is adjusted.

I got this for evening reading.
Pros: It provides enough light for me with only 27 watts. Heavy-duty design makes it stand very stable.
Cons: Color is not very beautiful. And shape is not very "fashion".

So, it is a good choice if you need good light for reading but not VERY care about the design.
